Go Dad!

I am very excited and nervous for this weekend!  My dad and I have a sprint duathlon race near where he lives.  It is our 1st father/daughter race that we are participating in together and it is his 1st race in over 20 years.  It is also our 1st step towards our long 7 month training journey to the Ironman.  This will be an indicator of how much work we have ahead of us.  He's the one that 1st got me into the whole triathlon scene back in the day with Ironkids when I was 11 and now he's been inspired by me to get back into shape and get back in to triathlons.  Not many people start as ambitious as an Ironman right off the bat but I am there to support him every step of the way!  I will post a race recap next week to let you know how it all went.  Here's to a good race and weekend!
