So I have been avoiding all my normal online haunts and that usually happens for one of two reasons if I'm super busy or if I'm feeling guilty for not following my training. Then yesterday I received this e-mail from my dad:

| Thanx Dad for calling me out |
"Hi Tasha have not seen you one dailymile. I'm not sure what I am doing
today but tomorrow I am doing the 50+ miler I did earlier this month.
Chat soon"
Gotta love it!!! I called him and confessed I have been slacking and that I would post a confession on here! That is one good thing about being so transparent about my life is that people can call me out when I'm slacking!!!!
So I have no idea why I took Thurs. off then Fri. has been my normal 1 day off and I was having friends over for dinner (had a blast btw) so that's 2 days in a row with nothing. Sat. I swam 1 hour to avoid the smoke outdoors instead of a double workout I should have done. Sun. I used smoke as an excuse again and did my 40 miles indoors in spin class. Then Monday NOTHING, I had some unexpected schedule issues that I didn't work hard enough to overcome. Tuesday NOTHING!!!! No excuse here other than getting my hair highlighted?!?? I know, pathetic!!

| Thanx G for being an awesome running buddy!! |
So I will do 20 burpees and ask for forgiveness! I'm back on track though. Yesterday at 6pm I ran 10 miles with the best running buddy ever! I let her convince me it would be a good idea to to run 5 miles in the heat then sit in on a meeting she needed to go to while our muscles got tight then run the other 5 back to her house, at least it was cooler on the way back. This really hurt and I got sick and lost 4lbs of water weight, the last time I lost that much water weight was the IM. Thank you for getting me through this you win the best running buddy award of the year!! She was telling me stories, encouraging me, even sang to me at one point which I might have put a stop to :-) and didn't let me quit and was sooooo patient with me when I had to stop and walk! Now I will quit being a drama queen and get back to my normally scheduled workouts. At least this happened fairly early on in my IM training!

Do you have a running buddy that has gotten you through a rough situation? Do you have someone on DM that helps you out when you might be slacking?

20 burpees is the perfect way to find your way back :). Gotta love your dad for calling you out - hehehe...and gotta love him and his 50+ miles, that's awesome! But we all go through some days where it's just a struggle, I think we actually NEED them to appreciate the good days that much more. You'll get back on track, I know you will!
Crazy fires in your state, ugh!! They were really affecting our weekend in Gunnison, but thankfully moved out by race day. Going to be a long, HOT, DRY summer I think!
Dont you love/hate stilling being called out by the parents!!
Maybe you needed the break? My boyfriend would probably make fun of me if I slacked but considering I'm more motivated to run that he is, he probably wouldn't say anything.
