Snow Day!

As I heard the reports the night before of the possible storm rolling in I was excited and I had dreams all night of the fun I would have if there was a snow day!  I kept the phone on silent next to my bed and sure enough the light went off at 5 am with a text of a 2 hour delay for the University!!  Then I ate a big breakfast and sat patiently waiting for the next text of a closure as I watched the news and snow!  Just as I was about to give up and stood up to go get dressed I got the TEXT closed for the day! Wooo Hooo!  I felt kind of bad as I bragged on fb because hubs doesn't get snow days and they are about to spend a week out in the field.  But then I got over it, j/k love ya! :-)  So it has been 3 days full of snow for me and I'm loving it!

Day1 relay handicap race with some good friends 3 miles each in the snow alternating, my teammate twisted his ankle though and didn't tell me now he's trying to recover before his marathon, booo.  Hope you get better soon, I can't believe you kept running!

Day 2 ran a loop in the snow with a new running buddy and we were having so much fun talking that we didn't even feel the cold.  It turns out if we would have just waited an hour or two we would have been able to run in the sun but I enjoyed running in the snow flurries.

Day 3 today is really really windy(gusts of 40-50) and snowing so I'm not sure if I'm brave enough to run in this.  I will for sure take my dog to play in the park where there's more snow cause she loves it so much but I'm gonna have to wear a full face mask.  I'll probably just end up doing an Insanity DVD indoors for my workout because my bike trainer is broken.       :-(   My brother just called and I'm excited we are going to hang out today do a little Christmas shopping, have some soup, and do some baking.

How do you spend your snow days?  Do you like them more now as an adult than you did as a kid?  I do!!
Notice the slide marks she loves to slide in the snow not to mention eat it...
